Innobs Technology ("we", "us", "our") operates the Scholae mobile application (the "App") and related services for Tan Academy Matriculation Higher Secondary School and its users, including school administrators, deans, teachers, non-teaching staff, students, and parents/guardians ("you").

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

• Name, email address, phone number, and role (admin, dean, teacher, staff, student, or guardian)
• Student academic records: attendance, marks, fees, homework, and related school data entered by school staff
• Profile photos and other files/images you choose to upload
• Voice messages you choose to record and send within the App

Information collected automatically

• Location (fine/coarse): used only for staff/student attendance check-in and secure student pickup verification. Location is not collected in the background and is not used for advertising.
• Camera: used to scan QR codes for attendance check-in/out. We do not store photos from the camera unless you explicitly choose to upload one (e.g. profile photo).
• Device and usage data: app version, device model, OS version, crash logs, and general usage analytics, collected via Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics to help us fix bugs and improve the App.
• Push notification tokens: used via Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver notices, homework alerts, and attendance updates.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide core school-management features: attendance, fees, homework, marks, notices, and communication between school and parents/guardians
• Verify identity for secure student pickup and staff/student attendance
• Send push notifications relevant to your role
• Diagnose crashes and improve app reliability and performance
• Maintain the security of accounts and prevent misuse

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use student data for advertising.

3. Information Sharing

We share information only with:

• Your school (Tan Academy Matriculation Higher Secondary School), which is the data controller for student and staff records entered into the App
• Service providers who process data on our behalf strictly to operate the App, currently:
  • Google Firebase (Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging, Analytics, Remote Config) — see Google's Privacy Policy
  • Our cloud hosting provider (AWS), which stores the App's database and backend services

We do not share personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

4. Children's Data

The App is used within a school context and may include data about students under 18, entered and managed by school staff and guardians on the student's behalf. We collect only the information necessary for school administration (attendance, academics, fees, communication) and do not knowingly use children's data for advertising or any purpose outside the school's educational operations.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal and academic data for as long as the associated school account is active, or as required by the school's record-keeping obligations. You may contact your school administrator or us (below) to request review, correction, or deletion of your data, subject to the school's own record-retention requirements.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures (encrypted network transport, access-controlled databases, and authenticated APIs) to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your role and applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us using the details below or through your school administrator.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.

9. Account & Data Deletion

Accounts in the App are created and managed by your school, not by individual users. If you would like to request deletion of your account and associated personal data, please contact your school administrator, or email us at barathprakash33@gmail.com with your registered username and role.

We will process deletion requests within 30 days. Certain academic, attendance, and financial records may be retained beyond deletion as required by applicable education recordkeeping regulations.
